Application essays are usually meant to be read and evaluated by people who don’t know you very well.

So, if you’ve written up a draft, I’ll give you a critical review of your written work by doing the following things:

  • Help you restructure and strengthen your essay.
  • Help you improve the flow of your narrative.
  • Help you declutter and highlight your messages and  key  points.
  • Make sure your voice is clear and you’re writing like you’re addressing your target audience.
  • Edit and proofread your document because grammar mistakes and typos make reviewers go mad .

Topics I mainly work with: life science applications (e.g., biology, health, agriculture, bioinformatics, ecology, etc.).

Pricing is based on 250 words/page.

For large fellowship applications with > 5000 words, I might need more than a week to meticulously review your work. Talk with me first.

About me

I’ve worked at many universities and research institutes as a life scientist for over 20 years in the United States, Switzerland, Denmark, and France. I’ve written all kinds of applications for university entrance, scholarships, fellowships, grants, and professor applications, and a number of them were successful. I’ve helped junior scientists polish their applications and secure their scholarships. I’ve peer-reviewed grant applications, as well as junior scientist and professorship applications. Additionally, I’m an academic editor and help authors polish and strengthen their research manuscripts, cover letters, grant proposals, and theses.
